August at Shared Wellness |
July marked the close of an extraordinary year for Shared Wellness—one defined by growth, transformation, and a shared commitment to building a stronger, more connected community. Every month, Shared Wellness becomes a little more what we imagined it could be.
Last month our Wellness Center was filled with movement, creativity, learning, and connection. Participants discovered new passions through Meaningful Day programming, caregivers found time to recharge through meditation and sound healing, volunteers built meaningful friendships at Quick Connect, and our community came together around the simple idea that wellness belongs to everyone.

This month, our Nutrition & Health classes with Director of Nursing Carolyn were a true delight. These sessions combined hands-on cooking, gardening, nutrition education, and engaging group discussions that encouraged everyone to participate.
Together, we explored practical topics including summer food safety, preventing foodborne illness, brain health, and the essential role sleep plays in overall wellness. Beyond preparing nutritious meals, participants practiced valuable life skills, gained confidence in the kitchen, and discovered simple ways to make healthier choices every day.
Carolyn's knowledge, warmth, and interactive teaching style created an environment where learning was meaningful, enjoyable, and empowering. |
