Our Leadership > Melissa High

Melissa joined Shared Wellness in April 2024, bringing with her nearly three decades of dedication to supporting individuals with diverse disabilities—a passion that began back in high school. From her earliest days, she embraced the core values of inclusion, empathy, and creativity, which have guided her ever since.

Throughout her career, she has embraced various roles, each one deepening her leadership skills and her ability to collaborate across teams and systems. She brings a strong understanding of the human services world and has consistently proven to be a valuable resource to the individuals we serve, their support networks, as well as the leadership team.

In her current role, Melissa plays a key part in coordinating and driving large agency projects, supporting new individuals as they transition into services, and helping onboard and mentoring new team members. She also serves as a crucial link between Shared Wellness and licensing personnel, ensuring smooth collaboration. Her ability to build great partnerships and keep things running smoothly makes her an essential part of the team.

At the heart of it all, Melissa loves building strong connections, encouraging others to think outside of the box, embrace change, and then supporting teams to do their best work.

She finds happiness in the little things—like beautiful flowers and hummingbirds in her garden and sharing good food and conversation with family and friends. She loves baking sweet treats, painting, creating homemade gifts, and she believes a soft sweater and the sunshine makes everything better.
