Bucks & Montgomery Counties, PA · Supporting Adults with IDD
Where belonging, healing, and community come together.
Shared Wellness is a nonprofit network of care dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities — and the families, caregivers, and Direct Support Professionals who show up for them every day. Because when caregivers thrive, the people they support thrive too.
Our Mission
Every person deserves a life filled with connection, dignity, and the freedom to thrive.
We believe that healing happens in the right environment. Our Network of Care supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through Lifesharing, residential and home-based services, and a Wellness Center designed to regulate the nervous system, foster belonging, and open doors to the broader community — for everyone, regardless of ability or financial means.

Community Kitchen
A fully equipped teaching kitchen with teal islands — perfect for cooking classes, nutrition workshops, and community gatherings.
Create Studio
A warm, terracotta-walled creative arts studio — set up for painting, crafts, and hands-on workshops where imagination has no limits.
Meditation & Sound Room
Cushioned floor seating, crystal singing bowls, and soft natural light — a dedicated space for sound baths, mindfulness, and deep rest.
Community in Action
Connection is medicine.
Loneliness is now recognized as a public health crisis — and for adults with IDD, the barriers to genuine community connection are even greater. At Shared Wellness, we build the conditions for real belonging: creative arts workshops, cooking classes, movement programs, and community gatherings where every person is seen, valued, and welcomed.
Our Direct Support Professionals are the backbone of this work — turning everyday moments into progress, and building the trust that makes growth possible.
Our Origin Story
2020 was the catalyst.
The pandemic tested our strength — and revealed something we could no longer ignore. The people we support and the Direct Support Professionals who show up for them every single day both needed a place to practice peace. Together.
It was the beginning of a fundamental shift — from "What's wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?" That question became our core promise, and the Shared Wellness Center was born from it.
The results were undeniable: a 70% drop in hospitalizations, greater resilience, and a community that finally had a beautiful, intentionally designed space to call their own.
